Crankshaft – Uh oh!

Replaced the front main bearing
Removed the cap and bearings from the middle main
Noticed that the crankshaft was worn pretty badly
The old bearing was squeezed slightly narrower than others too
Will see what options we may or may not have

Stuck front bearing

Tried to get the old bearings out of the front main
Got the one in the cap out
Tried a screwdriver, nail head, anything to get the front main bearing half out from the block
Tried loosening the rear main again

Replaced the rear main seal

Dipped the seal into oil
Put one half in the cap and the other around the crankshaft flange
Cleaned the edges with alcohol
Put some anaerobic sealant on the section where the bearing cap meets the other half
Put the cap back on
Removed the cap from the front bearing
Couldn’t get the other half of the bearing out

Rear main seal

Cut the wires off the main bearing cap bolts
Loosened all of the bolts
Removed the old rear main seal
Cleaned the crankshaft under the rear main
Replaced the bearings on the rear main

More rod bearing work

Replaced the rest of the rod bearings

Finished covering the seats

Removed the old cover off of the front bottom cushion
Added more support and wrapped the front bottom cushion
Installed the new seat cover

Installed a few rod bearings

Removed rod bearing
Cleaned the area with alcohol
Lubricated with some fresh oil
Put the caps back on
Repeat

Installed the seat covers on the front backrests

Put the seat covers on the two back cushions of the front seats

Put on rear, bottom seat cover

Got out the ol’ hog rings and installed the bottom seat cover for the back seat.
