Began cleaning the oil pan
Used a stud remover to get the broken stud out of the exhaust manifold
Began cleaning the oil pan
Lightly sanded the shiny/flaking paint off the radiator
Painted with High Heat flat black paint
Soaked and cleaned the oil pump strainer with kerosene
Removed the oil pump
Removed one of the rod bearings which appeared to be in pretty decent shape
Used plastigage to test the clearance of the bearing we removed
The clearance looked like it was right at .002″ – very close to the high end of the range which is .0005″ to .00215″
