Oil pan removed

Gave up on trying to remove the reach rod from the pitman arm
Removed the radiator
Used a pickle fork on the reach rod through the grill/radiator area
Separated the reach rod from the bell crank
Removed the remaining oil pan screws
Turned the crankshaft to the number one position
Wiggled the oil pan around until it FINALLY dropped

Got the radiator ready for removal

Removed the lower radiator hose

Drained the radiator

Drained the radiator
Detached the upper hose from the radiator
Got the castle nut off the pitman arm and reach rod

Exhaust pipe and oil pan work

Removed u-bolts and clamps from the crossover exhaust pipe
Detached the crossover exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold and heat riser areas
Passenger-side bolt got stripped and the other bolt sheared off
Was able to remove all oil pan screws
Couldn’t get the bell crank out or reach rod separated from the pitman arm
Everything is coated with sludge

Got the bell crank shaft and bracket out of the crossmember
Needed to pry a little on the bell crank
Also needed to remove the lubrication fitting from the backside of the crossmember

Began work towards removing the oil pan

Removed the right tie rod with a pickle fork
Removed the starter (took the cable off at the solenoid)
Removed the pinch bolt on top of the bell crank
Couldn’t get the bracket and shaft assembly out from the crossmember

Drove Stella to Huntsville

Drove up I-65 to Huntsville for a North AL SDC show
It was a cool day, so we didn’t really have any overheating/radiator issues
She drove well and I took it easy going anywhere from 60-65mph
Checked the oil when we were about to head back home and Stella was 2 quarts low on oil
I think she burned [...]

Got ready for a trip!

Adjusted the window tilt to match up as best as possible with the vent window
Attached the interior window crank handles
Gave her a quick bath
Attached the side mirror
Packed my emergency kit in the trunk

Checked for trunk leaks

Ran a water hose over the trunk to check for leaks
Didn’t notice anything horrible
Cleaned excess adhesive off the edges of the doors and trunk from previous aftermarket, faux chrome trim

Reinstalled trunk rubber

This time it was a different style from Studebaker International
